Latymer by Tracey Devlyn

It's rare to find a story with a villain from previous books becoming the main character in a series. However, when it happens it's unique to see how they are redeemed in the story. Is it possible to be redeemed? In Tracey Devlyn's Latymer we find the villain trying to ensure the safety of his son.  To ensure his son's safety he must leave England. However, this poses a challenge, especially when he's being hunted down by the British and the French.

Honestly, this is story about a father who realizes he's mades so egregious errors. However, he's trying to fix it so his son and himself may be together. It's not your typical romance, but it does show a love between a father and son. Sometimes sacrifices need to be made in order to save another.

A villain, can he be a hero? I think that is up to you to decide. Can self-sacrifice rectify the sins of the past? I don't know. All I know is I enjoyed you have main characters of the story sharing their point of view up until the end. So, are you up to the challenge to see if a villain can be redeemed?
