First off, I didn't know that Stepbrother, Mine actually started out as a serial. Yeah, it was a serial. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of serials. Fortunately, St. Martin press actually combined the volumes together to form a book, and I happen to find this at the bookstore. Of course, they had a put a sexy cover, and it was a must buy. Also, I have read other books from Opal Carew and had enjoyed them. Here we are reviewing.
So, we have a taboo kind of read, but here's the thing: I didn't think it was all taboo. I actually have a valid reasons: 1. They were only 10 years apart in age, and he was technically out of the house by the time they met. So, that would be more of a reason why it's taboo. 2. They were only step-siblings for 2 years. Now had they been step siblings when she was 6 and he was 16, and they lived in same house for more than 5 years. That would have been more an ick factor. I guess for some it would have been taboo, but then again I would think of it like terms of the movie Clueless. I mean Josh and Cheri did get together in the end. Enough of why I didn't think it was all that taboo.
Since Stepbrother, Mine was originally a serial, it's actually broken down into three parts. I actually like the flow of the parts. They flow into one another very nicely. Part one focuses on Dana and Mason reconnecting. They both find that they like one another. However, Mason is trying to keep Dana safe, and Dana wants a more from Mason. After all they both feel this connection that goes deeper. Part 2 focus on Mason and Dana explore passions together. Part 3 when everything implodes, and the reunite.
Overall, I liked Stepbrother, Mine. However, a lot of this story is pretty unrealistic. If you are one of those people that is going to nitpick on the impracticality of the story, you are going to want to steer clear of this one. Dana is willing to sell her virginity to the highest bidder. Okay, I think it's pretty genius idea in some ways. Opal goes into detail why she had. Sometimes, you can't get grants after a certain point of educations, and she didn't want to get a student loan. Being a virgin she's probably unlikely to jump into BDSM shortly after losing that card. There's some impracticality. If you are willing to overlook those kind of factors you might enjoy this how steamy read. I gave you my reasons why it's not really taboo. Especially, when they actually hooked up they are 10 years older, she's 26 and he's 36. It was a pretty good read.

12 Masters. Infinite fantasies. Welcome to Blasphemy…
He wants to dominate her senses—and her heart…
Quinton Ross has always been a thrill-seeker—so it’s no surprise that he’s drawn to extremes in the bedroom and at his BDSM club, Blasphemy, where he creates sense-depriving scenarios that blow submissives’ minds. Now if he could just find one who needs the rush as much as him…

Quinton is shocked and a little leery to see Cassia, but he can’t pass up the chance to dominate the alluring little sub this time. Introducing her to sensory deprivation becomes his new favorite obsession, and watching her fight fear is its own thrill. But when doubt threatens to send her running again, Quinton must find a way to master her senses—and her heart.

March 8, 2016
SYNOPSIS:
God help the woman I take home tonight.
Band manager James Brandon never expected to find the elusive satisfaction he’d been chasing, let alone stumble upon it in some sleezy Hollywood meat market. Yet the girl’s quiet pride spoke to him from across the bar, louder than a shout. Troubled, hungry and homeless, she’d placed her trust in him. But after losing the grip on his dark desires that one fateful night, James has spent the last four years atoning for letting her down.
This time I’ll finally crack him.
Rock band drummer Lita Regina has had enough of James’s guilt. She wants the explosive man she met that night in Hollywood. The man who held nothing back and took no prisoners—save Lita. And she’ll stop at nothing to revive him. Even if it means throwing herself into peril at every turn, just to get a reaction from her stoic manager. But when Lita takes her quest one step too far, James disappears from her life, thinking his absence will keep her safe.
Now it’s up to Lita to bring James back…and ignite an inferno of passion in the process.
Reader Advisory: ROUGH RHYTHM contains fantasies of nonconsensual sex, acted upon by consenting characters. Readers with sensitivity to portrayals of nonconsensual sex should be advised.

Off the Clock by Roni Loren (Review)
Last week I was suppose to post a review, but life wasn't working with me. I had plan to read this book while on the plane to California. However, things happen like I started getting a splitting headache and to top it all off I just didn't want the guy who was sitting next to me read over my shoulders. Granted it wasn't likely, but a possibility. This isn't a story you want to read when others are around, unless you have the ability to mask the flush. Which I have no talent, so those hot and heavy scenes would have caused me to flush around so many people. Yep, I'm a wuss, and I'm okay with that. Plus, who really wants to feel hot and bother around other people?
Roni Loren can do no wrong when it comes to heavy, heated reads. Get ready people and turn on the fan, cold shower, or whatever cools you down, because Roni brings the heat into her new book Off the Clock. Talk about starting a series with a bang, here we meet Marin Rush who is a student when she first meets Donovan West. They have instant chemistry. Eventually they acted upon the instinct, then Donovan kind of freaks out when he realizes Marin is a virgin, which causes her to run off. They don't see each for 10 years later where they become colleagues at The Grove. During the 10 years they each had pave their own paths. For instance Marin had to basically raise her little brother after their mother's death, while Donovan was making his way as the Orgasm Whisperer. So, when they meet up again Donovan can't seem to get Marin out of his mind even though they are colleagues. Plus, he's screwed up, and believes he's unable to love anyone. He also believes once he slacks off some of his lust for Marin he will be cured of her. This is where we see some kinky, hot stuff.
Okay, Off the Clock isn't for those who don't like sex in their reads. There are some hot, heavy scenes that will have wanting the cold winter air. So, if this sounds like your kind of fun, you might want to have at it. If you are prone to blushing you might want to keep this read no where near the public, because it will get you all hot and bother, and aching for cold shower. Plus, it gives you a glimpse of some of the characters at The Grove and I can't wait to see what happens next. At end of the book there is a quick little story that stars two characters in the story and they get a happy ending. The two characters are cute together, and both memorable patients. If you need a little steam look no further and give Off the Clock a go.

Lawyers
know when to play by the rules…and when to break them.
Harvard law
professor Jack Archer once balanced his professional life with the private
world of dominance, surrender, and trust he shared with his wife. Since cancer
stole her a year ago, finding love again—her final wish for him—is the furthest
thing from his mind. From his empty house to the classroom, grief follows his
every move. Until he meets a young woman with shadows in her eyes even darker
than his own.
Once a
shining star at law school, Lilly Sterling's dreams died when the Dom she
trusted left her heartbroken and lost. She's starting fresh in a new city as a
paralegal, but meeting Jack reawakens all her old demons—and her lingering
desires.
Jack offers
to become Lilly's mentor for both the courtroom and the playroom, but tells
himself it's not a relationship. Their carefully worded contract guarantees
that. But when their trial agreement starts heating up, both Jack and Lilly
must decide what will tip the scales: the letter of the law…or love?
Warning:
All rise for a book that contains a wounded submissive and a Dominant who wants
to retrain her while retaining control of his heart. Discovery phase may
involve spankings, bondage, edging, and blindfolds. Is it hot? You be the

Blog Tour Guest Post (Top 5) + Review + Giveaway: Forever Starts Tonight by Roni Loren
The question I asked Roni Loren: If you could go
anywhere in the world what would be your top 5 places for a romantic getaway
and why?
I’m of the mind
that anywhere can be romantic if I’m with the hubby (and have a babysitter for
the kidlet, lol), but there are a few places that I’d gravitate toward if I
could choose.
1. Lake
Tahoe in the winter – This is where Forever Starts Tonight is set and I did
that for a reason. Many years ago, the hubby and I went out there for a trip
and got snowed in by a blizzard on day two. We had no snow tires on the car, so
were stuck. But we were one of the only couples at the resort since ski season
hadn’t opened yet. So we had restaurants to ourselves and all the beautiful
scenery. We watched movies and drank hot chocolate, played in the snow. It was
a fantastic place to get stuck. : )
2. France
– I’m not sure which region I’d prefer, but I’ve never been so I’d want to see
as much as I could (and eat as much as I could, lol.)
3. Italy
– Similar reasons to France. Food, wine, long walks with beautiful scenery and
architecture.
4. New
England in the fall at a B&B – I’ve always wanted to see the leaves turning
and tour that region during that time. I like in Dallas, which basically has
two seasons—really hot summers and icy winters. So I’d love to truly experience
fall.
5. Doing
the Pacific Coast Highway road trip – I’d love to go on a long road trip with
the hubs where we get to see the ocean and stop in all the towns along the way
to find the best dive restaurants and such. (See? Everything goes back to food
for me, lol.)
Readers: If you
could go anywhere for a romantic getaway, where would you go?
The wait is over. They fell in
love in Melt Into You, but that was only the beginning. Now New York Times
bestselling author Roni Loren dials up the passion as three lovers reinvent the
meaning of togetherness and find out if love is truly enough…
Two dominant men, one beautiful
woman. Jace Austin knows he doesn’t have what you’d call a conventional
relationship with Evan and Andre, but it works. Boy, does it work—until Evan
starts acting strangely and Andre’s ex-fiancée pops back into his life,
unbalancing a perfectly happy threesome. Jace is forced to face the
unthinkable: that the two people he cares most about in this world are in
danger of slipping away from him.
So Jace plans a surprise getaway
to a secluded mountain cabin for the three of them. And he knows exactly what
he needs to do: give both his lovers a fantasy week they’ll never forget. And
the possibilities for pleasure are endless. But when they get snowed in and the
heat between them reaches a fever pitch, secrets come out. And Evan has one
that could change all their lives forever.

Blog Tour + Giveaway + Excerpt + Review: Need You Tonight by Roni Loren
Book Blurb:
She’s
making a wish list, and he wants to be on top. From foster kid to trophy wife, Tessa McAllen is about to reinvent herself all over again—and defy every insult her cheating ex-husband ever used against her: Selfish? She’s championing a charity. Stupid? She’s getting her degree.
Boring in bed?
Kade Vandergriff can help her with that one. When they encounter each other at a singles event held at one of his restaurants, Tessa blurts out that kink is for girls who try too hard, and Kade instantly wants to show this sassy stranger how thrilling a night under his command can be ...but when he learns her name, the game changes for both of them.
In high school, Tessa was the popular girl who stuttering, awkward Kade fell for. But she chose another. Now, as she eagerly learns lesson after lesson, he’s going to make sure she never forgets him again.
My Thoughts:
I thought Need You Tonight was fantastic. Need You Tonight grabbed from the first page to the last. I was amazed on how much I loved the story. When Tessa walked in on her husband and best friend in the kitchen and she threw an orange, I was hooked. Tessa was cool and collective and I was impress with her not flying off the handle. I mean she could have grabbed a knife and attack him, but she didn't she threw an orange basically told him she was leaving. I love how her soon-to-be ex-husband try to tell her she's nothing without her and she still kept going. Honestly, I had a feeling it wasn't the last we heard of him. During the prologue he gave that impress of "women are objects" vibe.
Anyway, Tessa decides to go back to Texas to pick up her life when she meets Kade Vandergriff. Now Kade remembers her from high school. He's always had a crush on her and figures this might be a perfect way to get Tessa to see him in a new light. After all he's was an unpopular kid, who didn't stand a chance against a jock.
There is more to Need You Tonight than the sex. Yes, the sex is hot steamy and hella naughty. However, I love Kade helps Tessa build her self-esteem up. After all, she was married to a bastard who tried to keep her in her place. I love the flashback to the past, because it gave you a sense of there was more to Kade and Tessa in high school, but fear held them back.
I personally loved the story and I couldn't put it down. I love that there's more than just sex to the story. Overall, Need You Tonight is unforgettable with two people overcoming the past and learning other things. So, if you like hot naughty books, you might want to grab a copy of Need You Tonight.

Even the simple touch had her ready to groan
aloud, her body starved for this kind of night. This kind of man. How long had
it been since she’d felt so desired, so utterly seduced? Maybe never. Somehow,
he made it all feel so easy, so natural. Like saying no would be a preposterous
notion. Even though it was the most logical answer.
But that logic angel sitting on her shoulder
didn’t seem to have much fight to her tonight. No, instead there was another
altogether deviant voice whispering in her ear. Stop denying yourself. You need this. You’ve earned an indulgence. A
woman should not live by vibrator alone.
She took a long, shuddering breath, letting the
temptation take her under. “I’ll text her.”
“Good girl,” he said, the words she’d normally
find patronizing like a hot caress against her. “I’ll make sure it’s worth the
trouble.”
After Tessa had sent the text and gotten one
back from Sam, complete with about twelve exclamation points following her OMG, Van left for a few minutes to bring
her keys down. And he must have brought them in person because Sam sent another
text shortly afterward.
HOLY shit,
girl. U’ve hit the hook-up lottery. Enjoy the condoms!
Tessa was still laughing when Van came through
the doorway. He smiled. “What’s so funny?”
“My friend approves of you.”
He gave her a roguish grin. “I’m charming that
way.”
“And she thinks you’re hot,” she said
matter-of-factly. “That goes a long with Sam.”
He laughed, not bothering to deflect the
assessment of his hotness, and crossed his arms. “And what do you think?”
She lifted her chin, jaunty. “I think I don’t
like cocky guys.”
