Never Seduce a Scot was AMAZING! I couldn't stop listening to the story. So, we have two clans that are at war with each. The king decides to intervene and force the Montgomery and Armstrong clans to a blood treaty. Also marrying Graeme Montgomery to Eveline Armstrong. Basically Graeme believes that his wife to be is touched, not all there, so he fears that he's not going to have a proper marriage. However, there's nothing wrong with Eveline other than she's can't hear. Yet, she didn't want her family to know that she was fine, because she didn't want to force to marry Ian McHugh. She felt that she would be better off with Graeme.
Talk about getting your heart ripped to shreds, Eveline is hated, because of her last name. An Armstrong in the Montgomery territory never was a good thing. Even though she couldn't hear, she could understand the awful things that were said about her. However, I love that she was so strong, when the women tried to be catty and spiteful. It took a long time for Graeme to realize that she was being tormented. Such a strong lass, and I absolutely love Eveline. Even when faced the danger she was absolutely strong.
I did love Graeme too. I love how he grew to love his wife, and seeing how precious she was. Even though she couldn't hear, he never underestimated her. Eveline was smart and beautiful, and eventually Graeme's people learned to love her.
Totally loved Never Seduce a Scot. Definitely a revisit kind of read. Since it was an audiobook, the narrator Kirsten Potter did a fantastic job. She absolutely had me spellbound from the first chapter to the last. She did an amazing job with all the characters, and made it a pleasure to listen. I totally would listen to another story if she was the narrator.

Walk of Shame by Lauren Layne (Review)
When you are in the mood for something light and fun, you can't go wrong with Lauren Layne. She definitely knows how to write a light and fun book. You will not be disappointed when you read Walk of Shame.
In the story we meet the socialite, Georgiana Watkins (Georgie), and she's friends with everybody. She doesn't exclude anyone, and genuinely cares. However, she seems to rub Andrew the wrong way, because he finds Georgiana's antics ridiculous. He's a bully to her at times. He just doesn't know how to bask in her light. Georgie is a lot to take in, but she definitely has a heart of gold. Best way to describe these to be night and day, doom and gloom and sunshine and roses. They are pretty much opposites. Yet, they're drawn one to another.
Walk of Shame is a fun read. It's mainly told from Georgie's perspective with a dash of Andrew now and again. As silly as Georgie's perspective can be, it's probably better to be told through her. I love that Georgie knows what she wants, and is willing to put her heart on the line for it, while Andrew hides behind his cynicism. It takes losing her for him to realize that he needs a little sunshine in his life. If you are in need of fun, Walk of Shame is your book.

BLURB:
Sensual heat melts the ice in the new Disgraced Lords novel
from USA Today bestselling author Bronwen Evans, as a marriage of convenience
leads to delightful pleasure—and mortal danger.
Lady Marisa Hawkestone’s nightmare is just beginning when
she wakes up naked, with no memory of the night before, lying next to Maitland
Spencer, the Duke of Lyttleton—a man so aloof and rational he’s nicknamed “the
Cold Duke.” A scandal ensues, in which Marisa’s beloved beau deserts her. As a
compromised woman, Marisa agrees to marry Maitland. But on her wedding night,
Marisa discovers the one place the duke shows emotion: in the bedroom, where
the man positively scorches the sheets.
Taught from a young age to take duty seriously, Maitland
cannot understand his new wife’s demands on his love and affection. Marisa’s
hot-blooded spirit, however, does have its attractions—especially at night. In
retrospect, it seems quite silly that he didn’t marry sooner. But being one of
the Libertine Scholars requires constant vigilance, even more so when the enemy
with a grudge against his closest friends targets Marisa. Now Maitland must
save the woman who sets his heart aflame—or die trying.

Lovey knows the team’s bro code says no messing with sisters, but all these mixed messages are hard on a girl’s self-esteem—especially since she’s finally getting her new life together in Chicago. vulnerable tomboy defy the pressure to be perfect and go after what they really
want.
Bighearted and easygoing, Luc Jennings is
falling behind in a family of serious overachievers. While he may be decent
enough at snowboarding to turn pro and rack up some sponsors, he’s never topped
any podiums—unlike his friends Z, Ash, and Cam. Luc’s always been head over
heels for Cam Bradley, but she’s never seen him as anything more than a friend.
Now, after years of coming in second, Luc can’t take it anymore—especially if
it means watching Cam chase another guy.
Cam hangs out almost exclusively with dudes,
and that’s fine by her. She’d much rather be shredding at the Olympics than
primping in the mirror. Cam’s wildest dreams have a way of coming true—except
when it comes to getting her longtime crush and best friend, Z Michaels, to
notice her. Then her mother suddenly shows up after being gone for, like, ever,
and Cam’s whole world comes crashing down. Desperate for a place to lay low,
she turns to the one person who’s always had her back.
Try as he might to move on, Luc could never

melt at last, Luc’s determined to finally win the only prize that matters.

Gavin is trying to find a comfortable routine. If he wants his old life back, he must take it easy, stay out of the limelight, and keep his distance from gorgeous redheaded physical therapists. She closed her heart long ago. He just wants
to open her mind. For fans of Toni Aleo and Sawyer Bennett, the debut of Sophia
Henry’s red-hot Detroit Pilots series introduces a hockey team full of
complicated men who fight for love.
Auden Berezin is used to losing people: her
father, her mother, her first love. Now, just when she
believes those childhood wounds are finally healing, she loses something else:
the soccer scholarship that was her ticket to college. Scrambling to earn
tuition money, she’s relieved to find a gig translating for a Russian
minor-league hockey player—until she realizes that he’s the same dangerously
sexy jerk who propositioned her at the bar the night before.
Equal parts muscle and scar tissue,
Aleksandr Varenkov knows about trauma. Maybe that’s what draws him to Auden. He
also lost his family too young, and he channeled the pain into his passions:
first hockey, then vodka and women. But all that seems to just melt away the
instant he kisses Auden and feels a jolt of desire as sudden and surprising as
a hard check on the ice.
After everything she’s been through, Auden
can’t bring herself to trust any man, let alone a hot-headed puck jockey with a
bad reputation. Aleksandr just hopes she’ll give him a chance—long enough to
prove he’s finally met the one who makes him want to change.

Heating up the Holidays (Anthology) (Review)
Okay, I know it's been a while since I should have posted this review. Oh well, better late than never, right? Now all these stories can be purchase individually. Whoops.
First up is Play With Me by Lisa Renee Jones. I actually did a review for this one and was posted on Thanksgiving Blog Review Hop (from Heating Up the Holidays) back in November 2013. So, here are my original thoughts:
I really enjoyed Play With Me, and I thought it to be well thought out story. I enjoyed seeing the chemistry between Kali and Damion. They seriously heated up the pages. Not only did they have their interoffice romance, there was a lot of things going down. Even though it was a quick read I love the fact the story had more than the romance. My only gripe was I felt the ending a bit rushed, other than that the story was fantastic. So, if you are looking something that will heat up your holiday's, I know Play With Me will do that.
The next story was Snowfall by Mary Ann Rivers. Okay this wasn't my favorite story. I felt the story drag, and I noticed that I myself stopping often. Snowfall was a well written story, but I just wasn't loving the story.
Finally, After Midnight by Serena Bell. I liked this story, because it was an interesting New Year's Eve story. You have Miles who is down on his luck with a bad year with things not looking to up and Nora who has a pretty crappy year, but is willing to try to let it go. Plus, it seems like they miss their opportunity, but it seems fate has aligned sorted of. Yes, they have their issues that needed to be worked out before things can work.
Overall, I liked the anthology. I liked how it wasn't all about Christmas, but the holidays during Christmas time. We got a side of Thanksgiving and New Years.
Copy provided by Random House via NetGalley (but I did purchase this book, because of Lisa Renee Jones).

My Thoughts:
First off, you will need to read Forbidden before progressing on to Awaken, because it picks up where Forbidden leaves off. Now I have gotten that off my chest. I don't know where to start. I mean a lot happens in the story. At the end of Forbidden you are left to believe Dante is dead, then again he's a demon and do they really die. Anyway, he's just biding his time time he can make a go again to get Sophia. During most of the story Michael and Sophia are apart, because they have different views on whats good for Sophia. Now Sophia wants to become a Spirit Walker, but Michael believes it's too dangerous. So, they have a disagreement and they basically breakup. So, this is a great time for Dante to move in on Sophia. I have to say that she does something that was probably unwise which leads us to needing the next book.
Honestly, I felt overwhelm with all that was going on in the story. Yet, Awaken is pretty awesome. I mean you have Dante breaking free from Hell. Michael is training to become a Halos of the Son and trying to convince Sophia not to become a Spirit Walker. Sophia is training to become a Spirit Walker even though both Dante and Michael don't want her to. For once Michael and Dante agree on something. However, this a pivotal part to the trilogy, and you will find a lot of action in this story. Plus, a lot of frustration from Michael, Sophia, and Dante. It's still a good story and it does make you wonder what's going to happen in the conclusion. Is Sophia going to remember the past with Dante or will she chose Michael and forge forward? Now I have to wait, exciting stuff awaits.

Forbidden: The Soulkeepers by Lori Adams
We have Sophia St. James. She just moved to a whole new area and she's trying to figure her way through. She's dubbed "the Pastor's daughter" right away. Anyway, she meets Michael. She feels this instant connection, and he feels too. However, he can't do anything about it cause of his guardian angel status. He tries to avoid her the best of his abilities. Then Dante steps onto the scene. Now Dante and Sophia use to be an item way back when before he thrust down to hell. Now he's trying to get her back, because he loves her so much. So, you have this awkward love triangle going on. So, Dante trying everything in his power to get her back.
Okay, that was the simplest way to sum up the story. Basically you have good verses evil throughout the story. Michael and his family don't know what to think of Sophia. However, Dante and his crew are trying everything to get Sophia. I'm was surprise that I actually found myself enjoying the story, because I don't do well with high school drama. I think what did it for me, was more of the good trying win over evil. By the time I got to end of the story I was ready for more and I'm actually excited to see what happens next.
Overall, I believe those who enjoyed Twilight might actually enjoy this trilogy. So, if you are looking for a story that has angels going against demons and fighting over who should have the girl, you might consider reading Forbidden: The Soulkeepers a try. Seriously, I was surprise that I liked the story.

Slow Summer Burn by Elisabeth Barrett
I finally have gotten to the last book in Star Harbor books, which happens to be Valentine (Val) Grayson's book. Yes, we get to know Val a little better in Slow Summer Burn by Elisabeth Barrett.
We have finally arrived to the big finish, we are about to find out who's behind the drug problem in Star Harbor. Each book the danger level has increase. Who would have guess that dirty politics would play a roll in the drug ring. Honestly, I didn't see it coming.
Anyway, Val Grayson is the best brother anyone can hand. He basically step in when his father passed away and raised his brother. While raising his brothers he manage to get an education and end up working as DEA agent. Now he's one step closer to cracking the case behind the drug ring that has been plaguing Star Harbor. When he finally gets to know Cameron Stahl.
Cameron Stahl grew up with the privilege lifestyle, but slowly realize that her lifestyle is suffocating her and so she started her own business. Now she has open a new store in Star Harbor. Her parents would love her to make an ideal match with Junior Kirkland. However, she doesn't feel right about the situation. After all, she just sees him as a friend. Yet, when she's with Val, she starts to see her real self and likes.
So, we have the drug problem, but Cam and Val seem to make time to get to know each other. While in the process, Cam is able to help Val get closer to his target. I love Val. He's such a stand up kind of guy, who won't succumb to pressure. He stands up for what he truly believes and goes after what he wants. Cam is learning that she doesn't really like her old life and actually loves the life she's forging with Val. However, there are couple of complications that jump and they manage to handle it.
Overall, I really like how the series turned out. I think Elisabeth did a wonderful job with building of the story in each of the books. This is one of those series, you have to read them in order. The romance part you don't really need to, but to have the full appreciation of the story, must read in order. I believe Slow Summer Burn gives that satisfying ending and wraps everything up very neatly. So, if you have been reading the Star Harbor books, you need to finish out the rest. And if you haven't yet, then you need to get the first three books before getting this book otherwise you will be a tad bit lost.
