InkSlinger PR Blog Tour + Review + Giveaway: Hard To Hold On To by Laura Kaye

About Hard To Hold On To:

Edward "Easy" Cantrell knows better than most the pain of not being able to save those he loves—which is why he is not going to let Jenna Dean out of his sight.  He may have just met her, but Jenna's the first person to make him feel alive since that devastating day in the desert more than a year ago.

Jenna has never met anyone like Easy. She can't describe how he makes her feel--and not just because he saved her life. No, the stirrings inside her reach far beyond gratitude.

As the pair are thrust together while chaos reigns around them, they both know one thing: the things in life most worth having are the hardest to hold on to.

My Thoughts:

I must say that I have been impress with the Hard Ink series, and I have to say that Laura has done a marvelous job with the series. With the previous stories they were filled with action and suspense. However, Hard To Hold On To is a little different from the previous stories, and needed to be expressed. Instead of being filled with action, it was more an emotional impact.

At the beginning of the series Easy was barely hanging on, but you didn't find out till his story. In away Easy was holding on by a thread, but he started to find purpose when he was helping Jenna cope with what happen to her. Poor Jenna. She has been through the ringer, with that whole kidnapping, and getting beat. She's manages to find comfort in Easy. I like how they help one another throughout the story.

Anyway, I liked that this story was more an emotional read than action. I'm glad that Laura touched on a subject tends to get overlooked in series that might have previous military experience and ended up getting screwed. I know suicide (or thoughts of suicide) isn't always an easy subject to add to a story, but I think makes it bit more real. Aside from the serious of the story, Easy is a lovable guy with a huge heart. He just got bit lost along the way. Anyway, great story that coordinates with an awesome series. I can't wait for the rest of the guys. So, if you are looking for yum with some military experience, you can't go wrong with the guys at Hard Ink.
