Quick and Dirty, 1

She is his fantasy…

Ava Jennings has spent her life dedicated to her family’s steel business. So when she catches her fiancĂ© engaging in extracurricular activities under his desk with a coworker, Ava fires him on the spot. With her self-esteem at an all-time low, Ava throws caution to the wind and heads to a well-known, wild biker bar. She’s determined to prove she’s capable of the spontaneous, wicked-hot sex her fiancĂ© was searching for outside their relationship. And she finds all that and more in a rugged, edgy motorcycle mechanic, the one man in the bar who eclipses all the others.

He’s her dirtiest little secret…

Isaac Banks doesn’t talk to members of the Steel Warriors motorcycle club about his painful past. All they know is he’s the best bike mechanic in the state, which is exactly how he likes it. Ava doesn’t recognize him as the awkward kid who used to spend Sunday nights at her dinner table with their families, but she’s sure interested in the man she thinks he is now. She’s from the world he left behind, and he knows he should walk away—but it’s impossible to say no to the woman who starred in all his adolescent fantasies. All he wants is one night to get her out of his system. Because there was no way she could live up to his dreams.

But he’s wrong. One night will never be enough.

Bea Paxton is a free spirit. She loves her fledgling interior design business, having fun, and she loves men. But only temporarily. Rule #1 is no relationships, no love, no commitment. She likes being in charge. It’s the only way to protect herself from getting hurt again.

Zane Price is the perfect candidate for a steamy time—beautiful, built, and British. Plus, he’ll soon be moving back to England. Really perfect.

Well...except for the fact that he’s her biggest client. And he doesn’t play by her rules. Hell, no. He wants more. Much more. Which is definitely not on the agenda.

Unfortunately, his kisses are nothing short of toe-curlingly awesome. And he is distracting her—a lot—from doing her job.

She needs to stay away from him. Her livelihood depends on it.

But Zane always gets what he wants. And he wants Bea. But for right now? Or forever...?

From the New York Times bestselling author of Off the Clock comes a story of love, hate, and the fire that ignites when the two collide...

Dr. Elle McCray has a plan. Work hard. Be the best. And do it alone. After her ex-husband’s betrayal, she’s learned being feared is a hell of a lot easier than being humiliated. So when trouble personified, Lane Cannon, dares to flirt with her, she shuts him down cold. Too gorgeous. Too cocky. And his job as The Grove’s sexual surrogate is to sleep with patients. No, thank you.

Former escort Lane Cannon has spent enough years with people looking down on him. Stupid. Trailer trash. Rent boy. He’s heard it all. He’s worked too hard to shed his past to let some haughty doctor cut him down. But something about Elle’s ice queen act has his dominant instincts perking up and his body taking notice. He can’t walk away.

After an evening of verbal sparring turns into a night of steamy hate sex, Lane’s ready for round two. But Elle proposes a business deal. How better to keep things strictly physical than to pay him for his services?

Lane wants her, not her money. But he’ll play along in exchange for one thing—all the control. It’s only supposed to be a dirty little fling between colleagues, but these two are about to learn a lesson in love…by the hour.

About the Emergency Attraction

Ten years ago when Shane Maguire chose the Marines as his escape from some trouble of his own making, he only regretted one thing—leaving Sinclair Smith behind. Despite his best intentions, she ended up as the one that got away. Now he’s back, determined to reclaim everything he gave up, including Sinclair.

Sinclair is immune to Shane’s charms. She’s immune to stolen kisses behind the gym. And she’s definitely immune to that maneuver he did in the back seat of his car… Okay, maybe her hormones are susceptible, but she has absolutely no desire to risk anything on the bad boy who broke all his promises.

When a little emergency lands her at his mercy, he offers her a deal she can’t refuse. And this time, she’ll show Shane what it means to be left wanting…

Release Date August 2, 2016

Blurb:

Deviance is unacceptable. It's taboo. And it's the one thing he's always wanted.
Portland Rebels, Book 3

Painful shyness isn't the only reason Mikey Pelletier is a twenty-five-year-old virgin. Between working for his parents and volunteering at his church, he neither has the time nor the inclination to admit his bisexuality to the world—or to himself.

A visit from Krissy Porter will hopefully fix everything. After three months of chatting with her, Mikey's got one carefully planned week to win her heart and lose his V-card. He's hoping he can pull it off, even with her roommate along for the ride.

Krissy has been drawn to Mikey for a while. He's so easygoing, she thinks he could be the calm in her storm. But there's an extra complication when she comes to visit: her friend-with-benefits, "hetero-flexible" roommate, Rafe.

During a week of revelations, intimacy, and kink, Krissy and Rafe become the angel and devil on Mikey's shoulders, tempting him in different directions. And all three of them discover that a week of pure deviance can lead to the most uncontrollable emotion of all: love.

Warning: This book contains innocent board game-playing that takes a sexy turn, use of recreational substances, back-door action, and some smokin' hot threesomes. Plus, scenes of inner-demon slaying. Fans and tissues advised.

Meat by Opal Carew (Review)

Okay, I read this because I saw the cover and said, "Yes, please." Didn't read the blurb, but I had to read it cause of the cover and the title intrigued me. Anyway, I liked Meat. It was a fairly quick read with hot scenes. However, there were a few things that didn't work for me. For instance, the BDSM part of the story. I don't mind that actually, I just couldn't do it. Cause Rex had Rebecca call him Master instead of sir. I know that it's minor and it probably shouldn't bother me, but I couldn't help giggling. Here's why: when I ever hear a character call another character master I think of a mad scientist and there lackey. Especially when the lackey goes "Yes, master, right away master." I would probably liked sir more. Oh well, that's me. The other thing was his size of his meat. I truly tried to imagine how big the thing was, because I know a woman vagina can get big enough to push out a baby. So, the idea that he was that big is kind of crazy. I was kind of disappoint with the ending, because I totally wanted them to confront the person, but hey it's a short story. Those were my issues with Meat.

Other than that I did like the story. It is a quick read that can be done in a day. Once I got pass my issues, I did like the Rebecca and Rex together. They are hot and a cold shower moments. I think Meat could have benefit from being a little longer, but it is what it is. At the end of the day, I still liked the story. Yes, there is a little drama, but by the end it all works out. Will I give Opal Carew another go, absolutely. She can definitely write some hot and bother scenes that get a girl going.

Foolproof Love by Katee Robert (Review)

I actually finished a Foolproof Love a couple weeks ago, but with the move and trying to navigate the wifi I currently have (which is not the best). Anyway, I had a fun time reading Foolproof Love. Come on it's a fake relationship to prove to Jules ex-boyfriend she has moved on, which she has, but the douche didn't get the memo. However, Adam and Jules have a combustable chemistry. Jules knows that the relationship is temporary, because Adam has one foot out the door.

Oh my goodness, Jules is so adorable. She's practically the town spinster with her coffee shop with cats. Yes, she has crazy cat lady starter kit. At the same time she has bright sunny disposition that draws people to her. I love that about her. Adam is described as catnip to women. The sexy bull rider is trying to figure out his life while helping Jules out.

So much fun, these two stir up scandal in Devil's Falls. Katee introduces us to her new fun sexy read. You definitely find steam as you turn the pages of Foolproof Love, and fall in love with these two characters. A solid read with your heated scenes. Plus, you meet some of characters that I can't wait to read. I totally can't wait for Quinn and Aubry's book, because of this interaction this story:
"Tell me, sweet cheeks, did it hurt when you fell from heaven?"
"Nope, but I scraped my knees when I crawled up from hell."
"Witty. I like that. Maybe you and me should go get a drink sometime."
"Sorry, cowboy, but judging from the assets you're far too proud of displaying"--she waved at his crotch area--"I've had better. Not interested."
Oh my gosh, this is sounds so promising on there story. Anyway, fun read. If you love fake relationships that turn real, you will have fun with Foolproof Love.

Off the Clock by Roni Loren (Review)

Last week I was suppose to post a review, but life wasn't working with me. I had plan to read this book while on the plane to California. However, things happen like I started getting a splitting headache and to top it all off I just didn't want the guy who was sitting next to me read over my shoulders. Granted it wasn't likely, but a possibility. This isn't a story you want to read when others are around, unless you have the ability to mask the flush. Which I have no talent, so those hot and heavy scenes would have caused me to flush around so many people. Yep, I'm a wuss, and I'm okay with that. Plus, who really wants to feel hot and bother around other people?

Roni Loren can do no wrong when it comes to heavy, heated reads. Get ready people and turn on the fan, cold shower, or whatever cools you down, because Roni brings the heat into her new book Off the Clock. Talk about starting a series with a bang, here we meet Marin Rush who is a student when she first meets Donovan West. They have instant chemistry. Eventually they acted upon the instinct, then Donovan kind of freaks out when he realizes Marin is a virgin, which causes her to run off. They don't see each for 10 years later where they become colleagues at The Grove. During the 10 years they each had pave their own paths. For instance Marin had to basically raise her little brother after their mother's death, while Donovan was making his way as the Orgasm Whisperer. So, when they meet up again Donovan can't seem to get Marin out of his mind even though they are colleagues. Plus, he's screwed up, and believes he's unable to love anyone. He also believes once he slacks off some of his lust for Marin he will be cured of her. This is where we see some kinky, hot stuff.

Okay, Off the Clock isn't for those who don't like sex in their reads. There are some hot, heavy scenes that will have wanting the cold winter air. So, if this sounds like your kind of fun, you might want to have at it. If you are prone to blushing you might want to keep this read no where near the public, because it will get you all hot and bother, and aching for cold shower. Plus, it gives you a glimpse of some of the characters at The Grove and I can't wait to see what happens next. At end of the book there is a quick little story that stars two characters in the story and they get a happy ending. The two characters are cute together, and both memorable patients. If you need a little steam look no further and give Off the Clock a go.

Book Blurb:

FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE LOVING ON THE EDGE NOVELS, THE FIRST IN A SENSUAL NEW SERIES

Overtime has never felt so good…

Marin Rush loves studying sex. Doing it? That’s another story. In the research lab, Marin’s lack of practical knowledge didn’t matter, but now that she’s landed a job at The Grove, a high-end, experimental sex therapy institute, she can’t ignore the fact that the person most in need of sexual healing may be her.

Dr. Donovan West, her new hotshot colleague, couldn’t agree more. Donovan knows that Marin’s clients are going to eat her alive unless she gets some hands-on experience. And if she fails at the job, he can say goodbye to a promotion, so he assigns her a list of R-rated tasks to prepare her for the wild clientele of The Grove’s X-wing.

But some of those tasks are built for two, and when he finds Marin searching for a candidate to help her check off her list, Donovan decides there’s only one man for the job—him. As long as they keep their erotic, off-the-clock activities strictly confidential and without strings, no one will get fired—or worse, get attached…

Edge of Obsession by Megan Crane (Review)

I don't know where to begin with Megan Crane's Edge of Obsession. Truth be told I didn't read the blurb, because all could focus on was the tats, chest, and abs. You could say I was blinded by the cover. Since I didn't read the blurb, and jumped into the story without any knowledge of the story, I was surprise to find out it was a futuristic dystopia. So, we have us a dystopia with a lot of sex.

Basically, we have two societies in the story. One is the mainland, while the other was on island. However, in both societies woman are view as a commodity to serve men. In the mainland they view the woman as broodmares and if they can't produce they are cast out. While in the raiders land woman are viewed more as sex slaves. The societies seem advance and at the same time primitive. You get the feeling that it's a bit barbaric. For the first 75% of the book is establishing the society, and this is where we meet Tyr and Helena.

Tyr and Helena are both strong characters. I think you all need to know that Tyr basically takes Helena as her captive, so I start to wonder if Stockholm Syndrome starts to set in Helena. She starts to lose some of her strong character and become passive, and willing to do Tyr's bidding. At the beginning the story, Helena needs to accomplish her mission that her parents tried to do before they died. So, Helena mission becomes something the raiders are going to work on together. Yes, the series will continue.

I'm hopeful that we will get more of the plot than the culture of Edge of Obsession. Things I did like about the story, I liked how Helena and Tyr are both strong characters. I wish Helena kept her strong attitude as the story progress. I guess we had her submit to Tyr. She was willing to sacrifice herself for her sister even though she's kind of selfish. A lot of Alpha-holes, and hoping that we might have more character development. Not a big fan of the sex scenes overshadowing the plot. Don't get me wrong I don't mind sex scenes, but I do like a strong plot to coincide. I'm hopeful that it will tone down and develop plot and get to see more of the reestablish so it's not so primitive. I understand that this is a dystopia and all, but where did all the diseases go. Had they all been eradicated, because in said sex scenes there is no condoms. This is something I'm curious on, and I'm probably the only one.

Overall, I'm not sure what I was expecting on Edge of Obsession. I'm hopeful that it we will see more of a plot. This story didn't quite work for me, but it work for others. I think this depends on the person.

Crashed Out by Tessa Bailey (Review)

Warning you will need a cold shower after reading Tessa Bailey's Crashed Out. Tessa is definitely the Queen of Filth (her dirty talk is fantastic). Tessa has an art form of making her heroes just say the dirties things that will melt your panties off. Not only that, her stories are fantastic.

So, we have Sarge Purcell who was able to get out his small town New Jersey and make a name for himself. He has come back to get the girl that has haunting him forever out of his system. Sounds like a fantastic plan. Now the girl who has capture his attention, Jasmine Taveras. Jasmine has always dreamt big, but when life didn't go according to plan she had to stay in her hometown living with the shame of never making it big.

How do these two fit together? Technically they don't. Sarge has had a crush on Jasmine forever, but we also need to know that she is his senior by seven years. It does seem like a lot when she's almost pushing 30 and he's 22. However, they seem to work well in the sex department, but there is a slight problem and it's the age difference. I forgot to mention Jasmine is best friend with Sarge's older sister. Okay, that does make a little complicated. Sarge doesn't sees a problem, Jasmine is the one with the real problem. Hey whatever floats his boat. Honestly, I don't have problem with the age gap, because he's been on the road touring for four years and that ages you in experience quickly.

Anyway, I enjoyed Crashed Out. However, I had few issues with Sarge's sister towards the end and I know she's getting her own book, and I hope that they get solved. However, I saw what she did as a dick move. So, I'm curious on how she's going to be redeemed in my eyes. Anyway, I did enjoy Sarge and Jasmine's story. If you are looking for that hot, dirty talk that might melt the panties off, you might enjoy Crashed Out.

His to Take by Katee Robert (Review)

Looking for a quick hot read, Katee Robert won't disappoint. In her latest novella His To Take we spend the night with Warren Davis and Erin Robinson.

Basically, Erin is having a crappy time ever since she was let go of the Broadway production of The Little Mermaid, and had to crawl home. Poor girl. Now she has no clue what to do. Of course, Warren pops up when she's feeling down and out. Fortunately, Warren knows how to pull her out and all it takes is a game of Truth or Dare. Gotta love story that can take Truth or Dare to naughty elements.

Anyway, I liked His to Take, because we have Warren and Erin and they have one fantastic night. However, does Warren have the ability to prove that he can win Erin for keeps and what better way than Truth or Dare. It was fairly quick, fun, and naughty. So, if this sounds like your kind of read, you might consider His To Take.

Courting Innocences by Kimberly Dean ( Review)

I wanted to read Kimberly Dean's Courting Innocence, because had elements that screamed read me. I mean you have Erin who believes the Luxxor is a matchmaking service instead of an escort service. I mean that's kind funny. Then you have the forbidden attraction with Colton who happens to be the Erin's brother's best friend. Can't go against the bro-code. See that's the making of a fun story. However, I didn't fall in love with Courting Innocence. There are some good elements to the story, but there were some parts that had me go "What!?"

I guess I should get the thing that bother me the most off my chest, which was her best friend working at the Luxxor and not being up front about it. Yes, I understand that she had to keep it on the download, but Erin was her best friend stuff like that goes to grave. No repeats stuff like that. On the same token, Erin would probably still be waiting to make a move on Colton. I still don't have to like that part. The other thing that kind of bother me was Erin and Colton's relationship. It felt kind of like a dirty little secret. Okay, I get it, it was about honoring the promise Colton made when he was younger, but take it like a man get punched in the face by the brother. Yes, I was thinking that. Those are my gripes about the book.

The things I liked about the story. Even though one of my gripes was Erin and Colton's relationship, I still liked the relationship. They were hot and heavy when they weren't focusing on being each others dirty little secret. Plus, they were adorable. I also liked Erin's friends Sienna and Jason. I liked them so much I want to go back and read their story. The other person that played a big part in the story was Nina who was Erin's sounding board. Even though she was owner of Luxxor, she provided reason and a good friendship for Erin. Especially, when she need advice when it came to her relationship between Colton. I believe Erin would have left everything as the status quo, because it was something she wanted for so long. Why rock the boat. Plus, the ending kind of left me believing there might something in the future between Nina and a certain detective. Let's hope so.

Overall, not a bad read. It was hot and sexy at times. Okay, majority of the time. However, I did have a couple of hang ups, but it's not going to stop me from checking out other books from this author. Plus, I want to see how Sienna and Jason develop, so I have to go back to Courting Trouble. Maybe I'll gain a better understanding on Sienna being silent on the whole escort thing. Till next time.
