Edge of Danger by Katie Reus (Review)

Can I scream on how much I love this series? Seriously, it just seems to get better and better. I mean Edge of Danger is AWESOME! Loved the last book, and I didn't know how Katie would top after Levi's story, but she managed.

Edge of Danger is a heart pounding non-stop action story, that has you holding your breath at times. To say the least it's one hell of a page turner. Anyway, we meet Tucker Pankov who happens to be an undercover DEA agent. You think he's new character, but we actually have met him in Shattered Duty as Grisha. As Grisha he's one scary dude. Anyway, a shit storm hits him and his team, and they have go dark while they figured out why their boss was murder and why they have target on their backs. No problem right. WRONG! No clearance  to figure out what the hell is going on, and to top it all off wanted terrorist acts. Everything is awesome. Anyway. They need help and try to get a hold of Burkhart of the NSA, but seem to have trouble about that. Next best thing is kidnapped Karen Stafford. Totally brilliant idea, I mean they are wanted for basically treason what's a little kidnapping after all. We have met Karen before, she's one of Burkhart's NSA analyst. At first, she doesn't know what to believe, but slowly starts to whittle away the doubts she has about Tucker and his buddies and decides to help them figure out what the heck is going. However, it all come at the cost, after all they are all being pursued by some bad guy.

I repeat I don't know how Katie does this, but she has manage to make the bad guys crazier than the last. So, we have Karen and Tucker on the run and figuring out what the hell is going on, and we are introduce to the bad guys. Hillenbrand wants a certain guy to reach the presidency and basically will do anything to get to his goal. Cheat, steal, frame, you name it he will do it. Of course, he has his cronies to do all for him. It amazes me on how unstable this guy is, and I thought the last guy was pretty bad. Nope.

Anyway, the writing in Edge of Danger is phenomenal. Totally blows me away on how this story just sucks you in. Heart pounding, edge of your seat read. Karen and Tucker are awesome. The more you get to know these two, and just go "WOW! They are awesome!" Yes, LOVED Edge of Danger it's a re-read kind of story. The great thing about this series, you can read each individually. Yes, you will get more fulfillment out reading the series in order, because you see some of the same characters reoccurring. However, it's not going to be detrimental to reading experience. Each couple has their own HEA by the end of the story and the bad that was a problem in the story is taken out. Read, enjoy, and have a blast with Edge of Danger.
