Why?

I love Christmas. I'm excited to see all the Christmas novel cover starting to come out. I know it's a little early to think of Christmas, but I love this cover. When I first saw this cover I absolutely fell in love with it. Seriously, I love the falling snow in the background, granted if you know me at all I HATE SNOW. However, I love it on this cover. Then I love her dress. It's absolutely gorgeous. I personally would love to have her cape. It's just absolutely the perfect cover. Oh I can't wait for this book, because of the cover alone. So, what you lusting for? 

Reluctantly Royal by Nichole Chase (Review)

Okay, I finished Reluctantly Royal by Nichole Chase. Now this is third and final installment in the Suddenly Royal books. We all know that I have this habit of jumping into a series in middle or at the end. So, why would this be any different.

Anyway, Maxwell Jameson Trevor (Max), Prince of Lilaria, who isn't a big fan of being in the limelight, and being a prince doesn't help his cause. Naturally, he tends to shun away from royal duties. However, he is the bearer of bad news to Lady Meredith Thysmer. Now Meredith is in London when she hears the bad news about her grandfather and is called back to Lilaria. Now she's thrown into a pretty bad situation, which happens to be the death of her grandfather, dealing with her drunkard of a father, and keeping her son safe. Yeah, that's a lot on her plate.

It's In His Kiss by Jill Shalvis (Review)

I was once told you could never go wrong when you pickup a Jill Shalvis book. I was like, I'll add her to my TBR list. Then I finally got a book and listen to it, and boy were they right. Seriously, you can't go wrong with a Jill book, because you will always find humor with a good story. By the end of the book you always feel good.


Now we head back to Lucky Harbor for Jill's latest release It's In His Kiss. The first thing I think of when I hear this title is the song It's In His Kiss sung by Betty Everett. Sorry about that little detour.  Anyway, we have Becca Thorpe who was escaping from her troubles and found herself in Lucky Harbor. By the way is far from New Orleans. At the beginning she wasn't sure if she was going to stay, and she was lucky to come across Sexy Grumpy Surfer (aka Sam Brody). Now Sam is a total grumpy alpha male, he walls up his emotions tighter than Fort Knox. Somehow Becca seems to worm herself into Sam.

Misadventures in Seduction by Robyn DeHart (Review)

So we have come to the conclusion of the Masquerading Mistresses series, in Misadventures in Seduction by Robyn DeHart. Now this is probably my favorite out of the three stories, for a couple of reasons: 1) The cover. It's absolutely my favorite. 2) How it all ties with the previous stories together. Normally, I'm like oh man we are at the end. However, this just ended nicely. Granted the story could have been drawn out a little more and could have use a little more explanation to why. Sometimes that's the case for novellas. At the same time, it was perfectly find everything worked out. Honestly, it was still pretty good. That's my only gripe: too short.

Single Man Meets Single Mom by Jules Bennett (Review)

All right, I finished Jules Bennett latest release Single Man Meets Single Mom. I think is my absolute favorite out of all the Jules Bennett books I have read. So, let me tell you why this book is fantastic:

You gotta love a man who knows what he wants, and Ian Schaffer is that guy. So, he has no problem pursuing Cassie Barrington after just meeting her. Plus there's that instant attraction. For example:

"You're attracted to me."She couldn't deny the statement."That doesn't mean I should act on it. I don't just go around kissing strangers." "After you learned my name this morning, I was no longer a stranger."

You have to give the man credit for being bold to. All goes well, until Ian finds out Cassie has a kid. Poor Cassie. Fortunately, the man comes find out who the real Cassie Barrington.

Honestly, I loved this story, because you have that instant chemistry. Cassie is trying to be sensible, while Ian pursues her. Then she ends up getting heartbroken cause he rejects her, and she's thinking it's cause she has a kid. Of course, there is more to the situation. Anyway, once they get over the hurdle the story runs pretty smoothly. Yes, it's kind of predictable that there is going to be some interference on their happy relationship. I was waiting for the shoe to drop.

The man reason I loved this story, you see this playboy willing to change his life for this girl and her child. By the end of the story, Ian had me in a puddle of goo cause he was just so amazing. Yes, he knows how to say the right things, but he was willing to man up. Anyway, you know it's a great book when it makes you cry and you still love it.

Delay of Game by Catherine Gayle

I got a chance to read Delay of Game by Catherine Gayle. This is the fourth book in Portland Storm books. I have to say that have enjoyed this series so far. Throughout the series you find some awesome guys and interesting girls. With that said, let's dive into my thoughts.

All right, Sara Thomas is the daughter of the Storm's coach Scott Thomas. So, Sara has vow never to get involved with a hockey player, because her father's the coach. However, it's more than that. Oh it stems from her abandonment issues from her mother. With that said, Sara tends to push everyone away before they can leave her. Throughout the story, she kind of comes off as a bitch. Seriously, you wonder why Cam puts up with her, but he gets her which scares her to death. It doesn't help that she's knocked up. Those hormones wreak havoc on anyone, so I will give her a little leeway.

I'm a little late. Well, Single By Saturday by was HEA Book Club book of the month, and I just finished reading it yesterday. I know, I'm slacking. Oh well, at least I got it done, so half a point for me.

Heir to Scandal by Andrea Laurence

A few weeks ago I finished Heir to Scandal by Andrea Laurence. A lot of that had to do with my character interview with Xander and Rose which you can checkout at [Link]. After all, it's important to know what to ask the characters. Anyway, I should share my thoughts on the actual story.

First off, this is the third book in the Secrets of Eden. We are getting closer to the end; just one more book and everything will be reveal. I can't wait. If you have been keeping up with the series, you would know in the last story they found the body and they hadn't identify it. Now everyone is on pins and needles waiting for the body to be identify. I know, stressful. So, we have that going on in the story. Now on to the romance.
