Lusting for Covers: Empty Net by Toni Aleo

Lusting for Covers is a weekly meme, held on Sunday, that allows bloggers to share their current cover obsession with fellow book lovers.
This meme is hosted by TBQ @ TBQ's Book Palace.

I should really go for a warm looking book, but I do love Toni Aleo's books. Seriously, if you haven't read the Assassin, you're missing out. Today I bring you a yummy cover and it's on sale.

Empty Net by Toni Aleo
Published: Random House, LoveSwept (April 2013)
Series: Assassins, 3
Genre: Contemporary, Sport

Audrey Parker is up against the boards. She’s stuck in a job she hates and pining for a total jerk. Meanwhile, her sister Fallon is moving out and getting married to hockey star Lucas Brooks. Where is Audrey’s Prince Charming? Nothing she does has ever seemed to be good enough for any of the men in her life. Audrey’s about to hit rock bottom . . . until she wakes up next to Tate Odder.

The thrill of moving up from the minors to the Nashville Assassins was a welcome distraction. But not even becoming the first rookie goalie to tally three shutouts in the Stanley Cup Finals alleviates the pain. With the loss of his parents and sister weighing as heavily on his soul as ever, Tate Odder can’t keep pretending he’s okay. That’s when he meets smart, sexy Audrey. Her gentle warmth and quirky sense of humor make him feel whole for the first time in too long. But to stay that way forever, Tate must find a way to accept his past and learn to live for love.

Look at those abs! Seriously, fantastic! I'm sure this book has been lusted after before, if not then it should have. Plus. Tate is pretty awesome for a good guy. Normally, it's a great price at $2.99, but today it's on sale for $0.99. You can't beat that. So, if you are a hockey fan and happens to love romance novels, you might want to add this to your collection. If you aren't, you might want this for just for the yummy abs.

So, have any of you read any of Toni's Assassin's Series? Are hockey fans? By the way, I'm not, but I'm an Assassin's fan.

  1. Oh yes, love this cover! :) I've only read the first book in this series, and while I liked it, I wasn't wowed by it. I may still continue the series someday; so many other readers have recommend the books to me.

    Enjoy,
    TBQ

    1. I actually prefer book 2 over 1. However, not every author is going to appeal to everyone. You know what that's ok.
