Love So True by Marquita Valentine (Review)

I love a strong emotional beginning to a story. Those kinds of stories reel you in and never let you go. I believe that you can find that kind of story in Marquita Valentine's latest release Love So True. At the end of Love So Hot we got a glimpse of the the prodigal son's return, Lucas.

In Love So True, we find Lucas trying to find his way back home again. However, he has a lot of making up to do, and forgiveness has to be earned. Which at times can be challenging when it comes to small towns. Man the people can hold a grudge, what happen to turn the other cheek and what not. Anyway, we find a trodden down Lucas who isn't getting any breaks. Fortunately luck was on his side when he looked into Bailey's eyes, and she was willing to give him a chance.

I loved Loved So True, because Marquita just ropes you in with Lucas's fall from grace. At one time he was cocky and invincible, but he has to humble himself and earn a trust that he once had. However, it's never an easy road back to redemption, and Lucas has an uphill battle. I love how Bailey was willing to see the good that was inside of Lucas, because not everyone saw. I thought this was a wonderful story that shows act of kindness can go a long way, and that overcoming the past is never easy. I will leave you all with my favorite quote:
"A man is not defined by his past, it's what he does with today that makes a difference."
Which are great words to live by.
