Crashed Out by Tessa Bailey (Review)

Warning you will need a cold shower after reading Tessa Bailey's Crashed Out. Tessa is definitely the Queen of Filth (her dirty talk is fantastic). Tessa has an art form of making her heroes just say the dirties things that will melt your panties off. Not only that, her stories are fantastic.

So, we have Sarge Purcell who was able to get out his small town New Jersey and make a name for himself. He has come back to get the girl that has haunting him forever out of his system. Sounds like a fantastic plan. Now the girl who has capture his attention, Jasmine Taveras. Jasmine has always dreamt big, but when life didn't go according to plan she had to stay in her hometown living with the shame of never making it big.

How do these two fit together? Technically they don't. Sarge has had a crush on Jasmine forever, but we also need to know that she is his senior by seven years. It does seem like a lot when she's almost pushing 30 and he's 22. However, they seem to work well in the sex department, but there is a slight problem and it's the age difference. I forgot to mention Jasmine is best friend with Sarge's older sister. Okay, that does make a little complicated. Sarge doesn't sees a problem, Jasmine is the one with the real problem. Hey whatever floats his boat. Honestly, I don't have problem with the age gap, because he's been on the road touring for four years and that ages you in experience quickly.

Anyway, I enjoyed Crashed Out. However, I had few issues with Sarge's sister towards the end and I know she's getting her own book, and I hope that they get solved. However, I saw what she did as a dick move. So, I'm curious on how she's going to be redeemed in my eyes. Anyway, I did enjoy Sarge and Jasmine's story. If you are looking for that hot, dirty talk that might melt the panties off, you might enjoy Crashed Out.

Say You're Mine by Diane Alberts (Review)

It seems like another Shilling Agency employee seems to be bitten by the love bug. This time we are hanging out with Steven Thomas and Lauren Brixton in Say You're Mine by Diane Alberts.

Now these two have been best friends foooreeever. Each of them has feelings more than friendship, but neither wants to act on them cause of the friendship. The dreaded friend zone. However, Lauren has been given the opportunity to take her and Steven out of this zone, but it comes at a cost. Drat. She has tell a teeny, tiny lie. In normal circumstances would be no big deal, but Steven HATES lies. It doesn't matter how big or small the lie is he hates it. Yes, there's a reason behind that. Anyway, Lauren has her own issues and they are abandonment. So, if her and Steven don't workout, she's afraid he will up and leave her. Scary thought. At the same time she would love to move to the next leave, but the same time scares the living crap out her.

Say You're Mine is pretty good read. They both have personal issues that do present a problem to the progress of the relationship. At the same time they are on fire when they finally get together. We get to see the rise and fall and the reunion all in this story. Yes, I liked the story, because it did had emotional highs and downs. I did get a little choked up here and there. So, if you are looking for a friends to lovers story, you might give Say You're Mine a try.

Looking for a quick hot read, Katee Robert won't disappoint. In her latest novella His To Take we spend the night with Warren Davis and Erin Robinson.

Basically, Erin is having a crappy time ever since she was let go of the Broadway production of The Little Mermaid, and had to crawl home. Poor girl. Now she has no clue what to do. Of course, Warren pops up when she's feeling down and out. Fortunately, Warren knows how to pull her out and all it takes is a game of Truth or Dare. Gotta love story that can take Truth or Dare to naughty elements.

Anyway, I liked His to Take, because we have Warren and Erin and they have one fantastic night. However, does Warren have the ability to prove that he can win Erin for keeps and what better way than Truth or Dare. It was fairly quick, fun, and naughty. So, if this sounds like your kind of read, you might consider His To Take.

Welcome to Holly, North Carolina where it's Christmas 365 days a year. Sounds like my kind of place. Anyway, we get to meet few of the townsfolk as they find love this holiday season. Let's get to know them:

Melt For Me
Elizabeth Naughton

We have pub owner Ella McKinley and rock star Tate Kendrick. It's a reunited love story fit for the holidays. Tate has decided he need to make a second chance on recapturing the love of his life, but he has a few obstacles like his fame standing in the way. I liked this story, because we have two people that still love one another. Yet, one is afraid to let the other in. Quick read, but satisfying.

Sweet Rapture
Alexander Ivy

Even though this story was short, I loved it. We had Dylan Cain who is trying to get back into the good graces of Meg Anderson. It's not easy being a FBI agent, and keeping a relationship. While he's at it solve Meg's problem. I didn't see what happen coming. Definitely some twist to this story. Of course, I wish it was longer, but it was still satisfying to read.

The Spy Who Came For Christmas
Cynthia Eden

We have the ultimate good girl in Jemma White and an ex-CIA agent Grayson Cole who just happen to meet at Jemma's chocolate shop. Chocolate and hot guy perfect mix, too bad there is a bad guy lurking around. Does make an interesting Christmas. I do like Jemma and Grayson together. I especially like how Grayson is patient with Jemma. Quick story nice story.

Merry Christmas, Baby
Katie Reus

No danger in this story, but we have Jackson O'Connor and Nora Cassidy. Now Jackson did something stupid and now he's trying to get into Nora's good graces again. Sweet read about these two. A quick feel good Christmas read.

Sinful In Snow

I enjoyed this story, and I definitely wished it was a little longer. Totally could have been stretch a little more, but still good the way it was. We meet Gabriel Fox who is out for vengeance against Carol Cardinis, because he believes she wronged him 10 years earlier. Fortunately, Christmas is the perfect time of year for forgiveness.

Home Advantage 
Skye Jordan

Now this story gave me the feelies. In this one we meet Meier Grant and Faith Nicholas. Meier is a big time hockey player home for the holidays, because of medical injury. He stumbles upon Faith who couldn't give a flying fig of his celebrity status. It's cute read on how Meier tries to get Faith to go out with him. Faith is an amazing girl who has been trying to keep her father's story going and not burdening anyone else. Definitely a feel good story for the holidays.

Overall, a nice holiday novellas that will put you in the holiday spirit with a dash of romance. So, if you are looking for some quick holiday stories, you might consider All He Wants For Christmas anthology.
