Tasty Book Tours Spotlight + Guest Post + Giveaway: A Princess by Christmas by Jennifer Faye

What Does Prince Alexandro Castanavo of the Mirraccino Islands Wants For Christmas?

I don’t know about you but I’m pretty curious. What in the world would a prince want under his Christmas tree? I mean, don’t they have everything? Hmm… I know, why don’t we send a reporter to ask him? ;-)

October 2014, Mirraccino Islands

After much waiting for an appointment with his royal highness, Peg M. Downe, your roving reporter, is escorted into the palace in this Mediterranean paradise. She stands off to the side as Prince Alex finishes speaking with an associate.

Prince Alex turns to her and gives her a friendly smile. “Please have a seat.”

His heavy accent and devastating smile sends Peg’s heart racing. “Thank you for speaking with me. Our readers have a question and only you can answer it.”

“Really. I’m intrigued.” He takes a seat behind a large wooden desk and steeples his fingers. “Or should I be worried?”

“Oh, no. Definitely not. But we were wondering what a royal prince wants for Christmas?”
Prince Alex laughed. “Seriously?”

She nodded. “We’re very curious, if you wouldn’t mind sharing.”

He leaned back in the large wood-framed chair with the royal crest embroidered upon the purple velvet. A long lean finger rubbed across his clean-shaven chin. “First, I’d like peace upon the earth.”

Peg M. Downe forced a smile and nodded. “Anything else?”

“Not exactly the answer you were hoping for?”

“Not really. I think that’s what a lot of people are hoping for this year. Could you perhaps give us something more personal? If you were granted a Christmas wish for yourself, what would it be?”

The prince sighed as his head leaned back.  “I’d like a vacation from Mirracino.”

“A vacation?” She hadn’t thought of that but she supposed even a prince deserved a break. “Where would you go?”

“Someplace far from here. Someplace where no one knew I was a prince. A place where I could just be an average Joe.”

“You’d want to trade in your crown and robes for a ball cap and jeans?”

There was a gleam in his dark eyes. “Yes, I would.”

“Well Prince Alexandro, you never know. You just might get your wish.”

  1. The older I get the more work I realize a princess really has to do (unless they live in Monaco), but I'd say living in a palace with lots of help.

    1. Anne, I know what you. It does seem like a Princess has a lot to do, but at least she doesn't do any house cleaning or um...castle cleaning. ;-)
