First up in our Q&A
is USA TODAY Bestselling Author Julie Johnstone. Julie, if you could live anywhere in the world besides where you now
reside, where would it be?
Julie: Scotland.
Katherine
Bone, if you had a time machine, where would you go?
Would you live there or just visit for a while?
Katherine: Do I have to narrow it down to one choice? (Pirate!) There is
so much I’d like to see and do, me hearties! I’d listen to the deafening
cannons at Trafalgar in late 1805 or ride with Lapenotiere in a post-chaise
barreling to London with Collingwood’s dispatch after Nelson’s death.
Afterward, I’d attend Nelson’s epic funeral. Morbid? Maybe a tad so but the
research I’ve done for my Nelson’s Tea Series makes me want to experience all
of these things firsthand.
Collette
Cameron, do you have any favorite TV
shows?
Collette: I watch very little TV, but I’m a huge fan of BBC. My favorite shows include The Musketeers,
Outlander, The Last Kingdom, and Poldark.
Gee, you can’t tell I’m a fan of historical
romances.
Jillian
Chantal,
do you have any phobias?
Jillian: I am completely claustrophobic. It has gotten worse with age.
The terrible thing is, in my mind I know it’s silly and nonsensical but I still
have that moment of utter panic when I’m in a tight spot
Samantha
Grace,
do you have a “day job” other than
writing?
Samantha: I’ve been a master’s level social worker for the last
twenty-one years, and I started writing as a way to relax. It didn’t take me
long to fall in love with writing historical romance, and the romance community
has been so fun. One thing I appreciate about social work is the different
options I have. I’ve worked with at-risk children and adolescents as a case
manager. I worked in an inpatient psychiatric facility. I was a hospice social
worker for eleven years, and now I work in dialysis. Sometimes I dream of
becoming a full time author, but if the opportunity were present, I don’t know
if I would take it. I really love working with patients and their
families.
Alanna
Lucas,
you are forced to live on a desert
island for six months. Food and bare survival equipment will be provided but
that is all. You can take one person and five items to relieve the boredom and
enhance the experience. Who is the person and what are the items? Why?
Alanna: I would take my husband. I don’t think I would get bored with
just him, but here are my five items: iPad (loaded with books and all episodes
of Top Gear UK), battery backup for iPad, chocolate (should be included in the
bare survival though), wine, and a gourmet kitchen (this was hubby’s input).

what is the weirdest food you have ever
eaten?
Lauren: Bull testicles on a stick in a place called Stick Street in
China.
