Lusting for Covers (45): Married to the Viscount by Sabrina Jeffries

Lusting for Covers is a weekly meme, held on Sunday, that allows bloggers to share their current cover obsession with fellow book lovers.

This meme is hosted by TBQ @ TBQ's Book Palace.

This Weeks Selection is a comparison week:

Original Cover
Married to the Viscount by Sabrina Jeffries
Published: Avon (Dec 2003)
Series: Swanlea Spinsters, 5
Genre: Historical

Blurb:

The dashing Viscount proposes a marriage in name only . . . in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Sabrina Jeffries' sexy historical romance

New Cover
Abigail Mercer was thrilled at being reunited with Spencer Law, whom she met once and later married by proxy. But now Viscount Ravenswood denies all knowledge of their union! Too many witnesses have made it impossible for the secretive Spencer to reject his bride without causing a scandal. So he has proposed a marriage in name only until they can locate his mysteriously absent younger brother—who is responsible for everything!—and untangle this messy affair.

Abigail is incensed, irate . . . and irresistibly attracted to this handsome, infuriating man who hides his smoldering passion behind a proper exterior. So the lady will agree to his terms on one condition: Spencer must seal their bargain with a kiss. But he finds that one deep, lingering, unforgettable kiss isn't nearly enough. And keeping his hands off his pretty wife is going to be much harder than he thought.

Why?

I have been wanting to do a comparison cover for a while now and I figure this would be a good time to do so. Honestly, I prefer the new cover cause it's pretty red dress. Yes, I'm a sucker for red. Granted I did buy this book before the new cover, because I actually love this author. The old cover is not bad, you might consider it a bit scandalous, but I love the new cover. There you go. So, what are you lusting for?

**By the way, Married to the Viscount is currently on sale. **

  1. Oh, I remember that book because of the older cover! :) But I agree, the new cover is gorgeous with that dress! :)

    Enjoy!

  2. I love both covers actually. I like new covers of course, but older ones still sing to me. Probably because I first fell in love with the older romance covers that are just classic to me. Thanks for sharing. This is a great book, and I wouldn't mind reading it again. Hope you had a great weekend.
