My Thoughts:
All right, first things first, I strongly encouraged you to start from the beginning. This isn't a series you can jump in the middle of a book, because you will be lost. You might be able to piece it together, but story happens in a story amount of time and each story adds to overall plot. Okay, I have said my piece on the series.
Laura Kaye brings us more action and romance in her latest Hard Ink series in Hard To Come By. In here we get a closer look at Derek DiMarzio (Marz). Now Marz lost his right leg when they were ambushed back in Afghanistan. However, you tend to forget he's missing a leg when he just opens his mouth. I mean he could be down out about the lost of his leg, but tries not to focus on it. Plus, he has big heart and care for those around him.
We get introduced to Emilie Garza, she's the sister of Manny Garza who team has an interest in finding. However, the guys at Hard Ink aren't the only ones looking for him. What makes Emilie special? Well, she's the first person Marz had a desire to be with, but there is the slight problem which would be her brother. So, Marz he some of the information from her. By the way doesn't fly over to well cause what her ex-husband did to her. Seriously, he did a number on her trust with guys. Basically Emilie has to come to terms with her own insecurities and trust.
All right the danger rises another notch in Hard To Come By. We add another person to list of people that needs protection. Yes, answers are reveal, but of course more questions pop. We just keep building. Oh my I can't wait to see what lies ahead, because the series is amazing. With each story you get that action and love that you crave.
