Series Overview

I couldn't help roll my eyes. He was either the most insufferable person I'd ever met or one of the funniest. I couldn't decide which. "Where are we going and can you

The car began to roll again, and I let out a heavy sigh, hoping his dry humor was an indication that I wasn't going to be killed anytime soon. "Okay, can I ask you two questions and get straight answers?"

"I'd like straight answers."

His mouth hitched up at the corners into a sly smile. "As straight as you want."

"Where are we going?"

"To see a house I'm planning to buy."

"Really?"

He turned his head to look at me. "Do you want that to count as your second question?"

And after being scared shitless and almost killed, then confused and finally frustrated by his vague answers, I had to laugh. "No."

"Then what's your second question?"

"Are you going to do something awful to me out here in the middle of nowhere?"

Without a word, he stopped the car and put it into park. Then he leaned over, nearly touching my cheek with his lips, and pointed out my window. "That's the house, and I have no plans to do anything you wouldn't like or even love. What do you think of it?"

He was so close and smelled so delicious that I couldn't think clearly. I turned my head slightly and his lips brushed my skin, sending a jolt of electricity straight to between my legs. Pressing my thighs together, I turned toward the window and pretended to look up at the house on the hill.

"It's nice."

"It's twelve million dollars."

Holy shit! In my mind, I counted the number of zeroes on a check for twelve million dollars. Then I imagined what I could buy for twelve million dollars. And even all that probably wouldn't fill the house I was looking at.

His breath drifted over my neck, and I leaned back slightly, wanting so much for him to kiss me or touch me with his hand. He did neither, though, even as he remained there so close.

In my ear, he whispered in a voice that hit me somewhere deep inside, "See? Nothing bad."

November is Here and Now My Reading List and Other Stuff

So, you see that some of the books from last month are on the list for this month. I just ran out of time. I still not going to list the ebook list, because that's just out of control. A Little Moon Madness by Wendy Sparrow

Yesterday I started A Little Moon Madness by Wendy Sparrow, which contains two short stories. 

The first one is The Cold and Lovely Moon which is about a woman who was in prison then she moved to a facility. Then once the full moon starts to emerge she notices she's turning into a strange creature. Tiberius and her escape and basically they journey to meet with his clan to warn them. 

The second one is Unmatched Grace is about two creatures who are suppose to be at odds with each other. However, Silas (Lycan) is to protect Grace (Manumitter). Grace feels some connection to Silas, but is afraid to trust him cause of what she was taught. So, basically they are to learn to trust one another and survive the night. 

They were both quick short reads. Each of them had something to do with change with moon. Each one had a little romance with them trying to survive the danger that was present in each story. 

In The Cold and Lovely Moon, you have Tiberius who is a bit of a jerk and the heroine calls him on it. The only thing is you don't learn the females name towards the name. Throughout the story I was wondering what her name was. I guess it really important, because it was from her prospective and her trying to decide if she wants to stay with Tiberius after everything. Overall, it was it was cute story even if the hero was alpha-hole.

In Unmatched Grace, we have a story about a Lycan protecting his woman even thought it would go against all he was taught. I actually really like this really short story. It showed Silas's protective side and willing to go against odds to save the woman he loves. Really like this one. 

So, the plan was to finish this Halloween night. Obviously this didn't happen, but I manage to finish these cute stories. I did like one more than the other, but still good clean read. So, if you are looking for a paranormal read that is clean, you might want to check these short stories in A Little Moon Madness

“You’re killing me.” Lucas’s hands brushed the skin of her arms, sending electricity through her entire body. “May I?”

The look in his eyes sent that surge of energy straight to her most sensitive areas and Mercedes almost forgot what he was talking about. Then a

muscle twitched in her neck and, giving a wince, she remembered. “If you do, I might have to go home with you.”

“Then by all means turn that delicious ass around and come a little closer.” He leaned back in his chair and wiggled his fingers.

It was like the devil himself was offering her candy. Who cared about heaven when this was what eternal damnation had to offer? Her abuela rolled over in her grave at the blasphemy as Mercedes slid in between Lucas’s thighs. A perfect fit.

Then he set to work on her aching muscles and she melted into him. “That feels amazing. The things a guy learns in boarding school.” He stiffened behind her. “Bad experiences at school?”

“Just wondering what made you assume I went to boarding school.”

“I only answer if you keep rubbing.” A three- second delay and then he started kneading her muscles once more. Better.

Mercedes sighed against him. “It was a guess based on the T-shirt, the captain’s table on the first night, and the fact that you knew exactly what every piece of flatware on the table was for at dinner. That, and ‘boarding school’ sounded better than ‘The things a guy learns in the locker room.’”

Lucas chuckled quietly and she felt the tension

drain from the body behind her. “No bad experiences per se, but it was a boys-only school, so it might as well have been the locker room. I did, however, have a girlfriend in college who was studying to be a massage therapist.”

“Tell her I said thank you.” She sank into him further and Lucas’s fingers dipped lower on the lace of her dress, his movements crushing it against the skin over her breasts. Why hadn’t she worn the strapless tonight? She wanted to feel his hands on her skin, sliding lower...teasing her nipples. Lower... “So what else did you learn to do with your hands at college?”

Leaning closer, he whispered in her ear, just loud enough to be heard over the music, “Nothing, but I learned a whole lot of things to do with my tongue if you’d like to know more about that.”

At the thought, Mercedes’s insides tightened. The man was going to undo her right here in the club if she wasn’t careful—and without touching anything other than her damn shoulders. And her ass, if the erection pressing against it counted. Between its presence, his whispered innuendo, and his hands trailing down her arms to twine his fingers in hers, she wanted to turn around and mount him right here. “Yes. I want to know everything.”
