If you’re planning on falling in love…

When it comes to the confident, charismatic Caleb Parker, Sadie Lane feels the spark—the kind that comes from rubbing each other the wrong way. She’s yoga pants, he’s a suit. She’s a tattoo artist, he’s a straight-laced mogul. But after they accidentally co-rescue an abandoned dog from a storm, Sadie sees a vulnerable side to the seemingly invincible hottie.

You’d better be sure…

Caleb doesn’t do emotions. Growing up the underdog, he’s learned the hard way to build up an impenetrable wall. Perfect for business. Disastrous for relationships. He’s never worried about it before—not until he finally gets behind Sadie’s armor and begins to fall.

Someone is there to catch you.

Both guarded and vulnerable, Sadie and Caleb are complete opposites. Or are they? Shocked at their undeniable connection, can they ever admit to wanting more? That all depends on what they’re each willing to risk.

My Thoughts:
Playing for Keeps was a fun read. We have two people who happen to be attracted to one another, but afraid to go any further. However, Caleb was willing to take a chance on Sadie. Sadie runs scared through most of the book. Seriously, she does, but she has a good reason. She's afraid to go into the deep dark places again. Some of her places are pretty dark. Jill touches on somethings that we probably wouldn't notice. Sadie hides all her scars from the world. Like I said he's willing to take a chance on Sadie. How do these two come together? Well, it's a dog. Lollipop brings out the best between these two. Lollipop does play an important part in this story.

I liked Playing for Keeps, because we have to different people. One thinks the difference will cause issues in the relationship while the other takes the time to break down walls. Man Caleb is such a sweet heart in the story. He makes my heart melt on how consider he is during the story. He totally loves his family even though he calls them the Coven. Sadie did kind of drive me nuts with all her excuse. However, I could see why she would have issues. Her mom would drive me to do the things that Sadie did. Then there's a Lollipop, the one that brings Sadie and Caleb together.

Those who love Jill, are going to love this one. If you are in the mood to snuggle up with a pretty good story, Playing for Keeps might do the job.
