My Thoughts:
All right, so I got a chance to read Stealing His Heart by Diane Alberts. We have Jake and Tara who share a past together. Both of them use to get into trouble. Then Jake went off and join the military basically got his life straighten out. While Tara kept up with her criminal past. However, Tara's criminal activities aren't cut and dry. She basically takes back the items that had been stolen from the previous owners. Jake gets an assignment to get information she has, and he blackmails her to help him.
We have two people had a past together. Jake sees everything as black and white, while Tara sees the world in variety of shades of gray. So, it's hard to see eye to eye. Then you add the fact that intense heat between one another, it starts to get little bit murky.
I personally like Tara. She's pretty sassy and doesn't put up with Jake's grumpy-self. So, she tries find a way to get Jake to find his old-self. Now Jake is content being miserable and lonely. All he wants to do is get the job over and move on, after all come back from overseas changed him. He's not the same person he use to be. So, you have fun loving Tara and broody Jake. Both of them have different principles that could tare them apart. Will one be willing to compromise to see the other's point of view or are they both going to be stubborn.
I liked Stealing His Heart. I liked the the fact that Tara help Jake find his former fun-loving-self. However, he has a problem that he needs to be the knight in shinning armor to save Tara from herself. Yes, there are steamy parts. Jake has a need to control a lot of the situations. Overall, not a bad read. So, if you are looking for a book a book with a sassy thief with her own code and and guy who tries to be overprotective, you might find an enjoyable read with Stealing His Heart.
